This is a quilted abstract work and they are tribal mask faces. In Africa tribal masks are very common and you see them every where displayed by the different tribes, the art work is partly painted and has machine embroidery all over the background giving it more of a safari effect. The three pretty faces are called Faith, Hope, and Love.
Artist Statement.
Work was raw edge appliqued and satin stitch quilted and back ground fabric as batik.
